If you want a professional career, you will need to go to university and get a degree. To do that, you need to stay at high school for another two years. There are several options in the district of Northacre.
St. Leopold’s School has the best pass rate of all the high schools in the district. It offers a wide range of subjects in the humanities and sciences. St. Leopold’s is, of course, a private school, so maybe too expensive for you. But don’t worry, there are several other options if you want to follow the academic route. Knowle Grammar School is a state school, so there are no fees, and it has excellent tuition and facilities. But it is selective, so you’ll have to pass an exam to get in.
A final option is to get an apprenticeship with a local or national company. You will get in-the-job training, gain certificates or diplomas and start earning straight away. But the warned – places are limited! Find out more at the Jobs Fair on 26th May at Northacre College.

How saving wildlife benefits humans?

It’s no secret that we’ve lost an overwhelming (23) of species within the last four decades. These species have all but disappeared due to overpopulation, deforestation, consumer culture, climate change, animal exploitation, and other (24) sources – all inflicted by mankind. It’s been said that at least 10,000 species are lost a year, having the world’s wildlife population in just the past 40 years. However, the rapid loss of species we are witnessing today is estimated by experts to be between 1,000 to 10,000 times higher than the natural (25) rate.
When the public and politicians began insisting (26) environmental protection in the 1960s, conversation laws began passing in the 1980s, (27) with the Alaska National Interest Lands Act, which set aside 101 million acres of Alaska to be preserved as a monument, national park and wildlife refuge to maintain one of the United States’ last “wild” areas. With more and more public involvement, restoring and preserving (28) wildlife species became possible. As World Wildlife Fund perfectly puts it, conserving wildlife is “is a source pf inspiration.”
