1️⃣ Ba dạng chính ở hiện tại

Động từ “to be” có ba hình thức:

am dùng với I → I am a student.

is dùng với he, she, it và danh từ số ít → She is happy. / The cat is cute.

are dùng với you, we, they và danh từ số nhiều → They are from Vietnam. / My parents are doctors.

2️⃣ Câu phủ định

Thêm “not” sau “to be”:
I am not tired.
He is not (isn’t) at home.
They are not (aren’t) late.

3️⃣ Câu nghi vấn

Đảo “to be” lên đầu câu:
