I’m Max. My friend Helen is very beautiful. She is taller than me. She has blonde hair, chubby check and round blue eyes. She’s clever, patient and funny. She loves telling jokes. Her jokes are so funny that they make us laugh a lot. I love being with her because she helps me with a lot of things. On the weekend, she often goes to my house and does homework with me. But this weekend, we are going to the cinema to see a new film, Annabelle. It would be fun.

Vietnamese has a lot of tradition at Tet. They believe that the first-footer of a family determines their luck for the next year. Usually, people will invite a good-tempered, moral and successful person to visit their houses. During Tet, people visit relatives and friends to exchange best wishes. Children will dress in new clothes. They will receive lucky money for good blessings. Family gathering is really important because it’s time family members get together after a long year. At Tet every house is usually decorated by flowers and colored lights.

Khang: Where do you live, Vy?

Vy: I live in the suburbs of Ho Chi Minh City.

Khang: What do you like about it?

Vy: There are many things I like about it. There’s a big market near my house. There are also many shops, restaurants and art galleries here. The streets are wide. The people here are helpful and friendly.

Khang: What do you dislike about it?

Vy: The schools are too faraway. There are also some factories

I live in a wonderful neighborhood on the outskirts of the city. It's a quiet and friendly area with lots of green spaces and parks. There is a community center where people often gather for events and activities. The local market is just a short walk away, making it convenient to buy fresh produce. My neighbors are very supportive and always willing to help each other out. Overall, it's a great place to live because it combines convenience with a sense of community.
