Sweet to eat
Pineapple is a sweet fruit that grows only in hot countries. It does not grow on trees, as some fruit trees. It grows up from the ground. The tops may be cut off and planted. The pineapple plant grows about two feet high.
The pineapple looks like a large pine cone. It has a hard, brown covering. Its leaves have points. Inside it is yellow and juicy. The middle part is hard, and it is not used for canning. But the middle part is sweet!. Next time you have fresh pineapple, try a piece of the hard middle part.
Canned or fresh, the pineapple is a good fruit to eat.
