Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C or D on your answer sheet to indicate the correct answer to each of the questions.
Start-ups are usually young companies founded by one or more entrepreneurs. They develop
products or services that improve on existing ones or create completely new goods and services by breaking conventional ways of thinking and doing business. What distinguishes a start-up from other companies is that while regular companies use an existing template of how a business works, a start-up strives to create an entirely new template. Airbnb, for example, is a fast and convenient service through which those who want to rent accommodation can deal directly with property owners, without the assistance of any agency. Other factors that render start-ups different are their speed and growth. Start-ups aim at developing ideas very quickly. They constantly improve their products through feedback and usage data. They will also test and revise the product or service until it’s ready to come onto the market. While start-up companies work on their products, they also look to quickly expand their customer base. This allows them to delve into the market and establish a larger market share, which, in turn, helps them raise more money to develop their products.
