LANDING YOUR DREAM JOB!
Have you ever wondered what it could be like to do your dream job? We interviewed two people who found theirs!
Jenna: I've always been someone who loves interacting with other people and I also have a strong interest in technology. Therefore, I was really ___(1)___ where I could use my communication skills. Fortunately, I found a perfect job, working as a social media manager for a small local company. I've done this job for almost twelve months, and I love it. I get to write interesting online posts and come up with social media strategies to help our company get more attention online. It’s home-based, too, which is great because I feel much more creative ___(2)___. Of course, I still have tight deadlines to meet, and I need to be flexible, too. Occasionally, I have to go to the office for catch-up meetings to get updates on new project developments, for example, but luckily that doesn't happen very often. All in all, I love my job!
Peter: Since I was a child, computers have always fascinated me, and ___(3)___. As I grew up, I started to take more interest in working with computers and using them. I began by making simple quiz apps and programmes for taking notes, and then when I finished high school, I went to university and completed a course in software development. ___(4)___. When I got my degree, I finally found a job as a software developer at an IT company in the capital city, and I couldn't believe my luck. Now, I get to do what I love - something I have been doing for years for free - and get a great salary. What's even more attractive is that since I joined the company, I've had the chance to work on widely-used software with millions of downloads worldwide. ___(5)___.
