Rashema’s Journey
A. Rashema Melson is an inspiring person who has achieved her goal of getting a full scholarship to college. She was born in Washington D.C. in 1996 and had dreams of being successful from an early age. However, ___(1)___ on her way to achieving her goal.
B. In her early years, life was very difficult for Rashema. She came from a very poor family and many times ___(2)___. When she was 16 years old, she lived in a homeless shelter. She changed school often because ___(3)___. But she was determined to be a good student and passed all her exams.
C. Despite being homeless, Rashema never gave up on her dream. At the age of eighteen, she graduated from Anacostia Highschool as one of the top students. Her hard work ___(4)___. She arrived on campus with everything she owned in a plastic bad but she was determined to succeed. Four years later, Rashema graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Justice and Peace studies. After that, she worked with non-profit organizations and governments agencies to help homeless people. Today, she stills work to help poor communities through public speaking events.
