Kim really enjoyed attending high school in Seoul. His school had over two thousand students and was very modern with state-of-the-art classrooms and facilities. The curriculum focused heavily on academics, especially maths, science and languages. Students had to wear uniforms and strict rules about behaviour were enforced. However, Kim's favourite part of school was the extracurricular activities. He joined the basketball team, debate club and music club where he learned to play the guitar. He made lots of good friends through these activities who he still keeps in contact with. Although the workload and pressure to achieve were high, Kim looks back fondly at his school years as some of the most enjoyable times in his life.
