Elephants are amazing animals that are known for their large size and unique features. They are the largest land animals on earth and can weigh up to 6,000 kg! Elephants are herbivores, which means they eat only plants. They use their long trunks to pick up food and drink water. Elephants are also very social animals and live in groups called herds. In the herd, there is usually a matriarch, who is the oldest and most experienced female. Elephants have excellent memories and can remember things for many years. Unfortunately, elephants are at risk due to habitat loss and poaching for their ivory tusks. It's important that we learn about and protect these amazing creatures.
