Last night, I had a scary experience. I was at the library studying for a big test. I didn't notice how late it was. When I left, it was already dark outside.
I started walking home. The streets were empty and quiet. The only light came from a few streetlamps. Suddenly, I heard a noise behind me. My heart started to beat fast. I walked faster, but the noise got louder.
I was afraid to look back. I thought someone was following me. I started to run. The noise was still there. I ran faster and faster. My house was still far away.
Then, I heard a loud "meow!" I turned around. It was just a cat! The cat had been following me. I felt so silly. I laughed at myself for being so scared.
I walked the rest of the way home feeling much better. When I got home, I told my family about my funny adventure. We all laughed together. Next time, I won't stay out so late!
