Son Doong – a great discovery
Son Doong caves is in Quang Binh province, Viet Nam. Mr. Ho Khanh, a farmer, first found the cave in 1991. He was amazed when he walked inside it because it was huge!
When Mr. Khanh went home, he forgot where the cave was. People didn’t think his story was true. Then in 2009, Mr. Khanh and some scientists found it again. They saw a river and a jungle inside it!
Today, tourists can visit the cave, but it’s not easy. It’s difficult to walk and climb inside it!
